- Tension headaches are the most common type of headache. This headache can have a dull and aching sensation all over your head. These headaches can cause tenderness and tightness in your neck, shoulders and scalp muscles. Tension headaches are most commonly caused by stress, anxiety or muscle tension.

- Cluster headaches can be intense and typically happen in clusters. These headaches commonly happen on one side of the head and can be accompanied by a runny nose or watery eyes. These headaches are not as common but can be debilitating.

- Migraine headaches are the worst type of headaches. They are typically more than a headache, symptoms associated with having a migraine are nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light or sound. Migraines can last a couple hours or a couple of days. Complex migraines are accompanied by "aura" or visual disturbances.
